A VERY STEAMPUNK CHRISTMAS
Like steampunk? Then you’d want to check out The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing. This duo quartet (Andrew O’Neill, Andy Heintz,
Jez Miller, and Marc Burrows) from London got their name from the writing on the walls of a Jack the Ripper murder (off topic, but apparently Alan Moore loves these guys, and you know I love Alan Moore!), and have been together since 2008. Their debut album is called Now That’s What I Call Steampunk! Volume 1, which I’m hoping their CD was made from a coal-burning contraption.

Well, the band’s been busy, they have a 7″ called A Very Steampunk Christmas, to be out on December 13th (their press release insists on the 11th for some reason), but you can preview the tracks on soundcloud.com. Since I posted a
hammered dulcimer version of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” yesterday, I was excited to hear a Victorian punk-ish version, which is available as a free download.

I’ll have to say, I was very disappointed, it’s only 37 seconds long, so I can’t be bothered to listen to “Ebenezer’s Carol” and the rest of the EP. I mean, I get it, punk songs are really short and the band’s probably best experienced live.

You can find more information about The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing on their myspace and facebook.

Help 13 year-old Kate Diaz raise money for the National Childhood Cancer Foundation by downloading her original song “Christmas Smiles” on
iTunes and amazon.

She will be playing at Potbelly’s in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, on December 18th, where a portion of dinner sales will be donated to the cause.
