Los Angeles' Deap Vally will be appearing at all music festivals known to mankind this year. Not kidding, the rock duo (guitarist/singer Lindsey Troy and drummer Julie Edwards) will be appearing at Bonnaroo, Splendour In The Grass, Lollapalooza, Reading, Leeds, just to name a few! This is pretty great for a band with only one EP called Get Deap!
I'm personally not a fan of big festivals; I prefer the more intimate settings of a dive bar. Not problems for people like me either: the band will be doing a number of small venues with The Whigs next month.

The loud punk-ish rock band Parquet Courts is currently on tour for their debut album, Light Up Gold, out now on What's Your Rupture? Records. The band has received a lot of praises from all the music places, including NME, Pitchfork, NPR and Spin.
