If you listened to our latest podcast, Vu demonstrated that he is actually a closet Amy Grant fan.
Grant and Michael W Smith will be performing Christmas songs from his The Spirit of Christmas holiday album (released September 30th) with a full symphony orchestra at the Target Center on Saturday, December 13th, as part of his “Spirit of Christmas Tour”.
This should be a very special night because Amy Grant is only appearing at only a few dates with Smith (co-bill in Dallas, Minneapolis and Atlanta only), before heading back to her residency at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

We caught Louisiana’s Marcia Ball earlier this year at the Minnesota State Fair to hear her play some rock and blues. At the time I mentioned that she had a new album coming out called Tattooed Lady & The Alligator Man (Alligator Records). The album is out now and she’s doing a national tour in support of it… stopping by Minneapolis’ Dakota Jazz Club on Sunday, December 14th.
Marcia Ball is playing two sets: 7pm ($35) and 9pm ($30).

Austin’s Jon Dee Graham will be stopping by St Paul at the Turf Club this December 14th. Graham was named the Austin Musician of the Year at SXSW in 2006.
