BUILT TO SPILL

at Varsity Theater

Sunday 05/24/15, 7pm ($20/18+)

I remember seeing Built To Spill in 2013 and at the time, their last album was in 2009, but they still had a lot of material to work with. The best part of their show was the encore, which often featured great cover songs. For the Minneapolis show, they played The Smiths’ “How Soon Is Now?” and Blue Öyster Cult’s “Don’t Fear the Reaper” (what a great song!)

The band is back with their eight studio album entitled Untethered Moon, out now on Warner Bros Records.

With the new album, the band will be appearing in Minneapolis at the Varsity Theater on May 24th.

Wooden Indian Burial Ground and Clarke and the Himselfs will open the show.
