It’s 1990 all over again with the annual “Summerland Tour”. The 90s nostalgia tour was created by singer/guitarist Art Alexakis from Everclear, which would explain why they have headlined Summerland since its inception in 2012.

Previously the tour featured Marcy Playground (yes, that “Sex and Candy” song), Gin Blossoms, Live, Filter, Soul Asylum, Spacehog, etc.

I actually thought Brooklyn’s TV on the Radio broke up in 2013… but apparently the band came back with Seeds, released in late November 2014 via Harvest Records.

Their First Avenue show is sold out, so if you haven’t purchased tickets, you’re out of luck.
Local duo Roniia (Dark Dark Dark’s Nona Marie Invie and Mark McGee) will open the Minneapolis show.

Sarah Bethe Nelson will be stopping by the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis next Thursday, July 30th, in support of her Burger Records debut album Fast-Moving Clouds. The record came out March 10th.

Nelson will have a full band, featuring Rusty Miller, Ela Jaszczak, and Mike Shoun.

Local Mitchell Adam Johnson (from Spencer McGillicutty) will open the show.
