J Tillman, or aka Father John Misty, is headlining the Palace Theatre in St Paul on September 30th.

We caught the singer several times, writing in Festival Palomino 2015, “Any award for sardonic wit and snarkiness has to be given to Father John Misty (aka Josh Tillman), who also delivered a soulful hour-long set that had him in the crowd several times, making an indelible impression. Tillman dressed all in black, with a crack five-piece band, referred cheekily to the venue a couple of times as the “Minneapolis dog-fighting pits”, which got a big laugh.”

Whitney is out on tour in support of their new album Spark, set for release September 16th via Secretly Canadian.

We saw the band in Oct 2019 and said, “Whitney closed out the show. The most interesting thing about this Chicago band is that their singer is actually their drummer, Julien Ehrlich.”
