Zheani at Fine Line, Minneapolis (19 Sep 2024)
Brisbane-based singer, songwriter and producer Zheani (Zheani Sparkes) just headlined the Fine Line, in Minneapolis on September 19, 2024.
She’s asked her friends alternative pop, non-binary Blackpool-born ZAND (who got over 6 million streams of their EP Ugly Pop) and New Jersey rapper Buttress (my favorite architectural word) to join the The Maenad Tour.
Buttress’s latest ENDOFUNCTOR is a collection of short horror songs that she abandoned and recently finally finished the record. I thought her song “The Attic” was really good, and she was feeding off the energy of the audience.
In between sets, there was a DJ that kept the audience entertained. Apology for not knowing the DJ’s name, they were not advertised, nor was it announced at the show. I am assuming she’s part of the The Maenad Tour.
