It is the triumphant return of The The! The band is on tour in support of Ensoulment, the band’s first studio album in a quarter of a century.

Frontman Matt Johnson noted, “The last 25 years seem to have flown by don’t they? But finally, the day has arrived for our new album – Ensoulment – to be shared with our wonderful, loyal audience. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it. I’ve been blessed in working with so many wonderful people (both in front of and behind the microphones) with whom I’ve shared much creativity and laughter. We look forward to seeing many of you soon on our forthcoming Ensouled world tour.”

Madison’s Armchair Boogie and Chicago’s Henhouse Prowlers (the official Bluegrass Ambassadors) are co-headlining the Turf Club this October 26, 2024.
The two bands previously played together earlier in Mar 2024.

Expect a lot of bluegrass (or ‘newgrass’) goodness at this upcoming show.

We saw Steve in July 2011 and wrote, “During one of Delicate Steve’s songs (maybe “Z Expression”?), he had Arby’s band come on stage to help play the song. Steve would later return the favor by coming on stage for Khaira Arby on three songs. Please refer to the setlist if you were curious what was played.”
