The Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, announced the 2024 Christmas Tour earlier this year. The tour is still underway.

Everybody associates Christmas with Carey particularly “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and this tour will sell out.

Also, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MoFi), a leader in high-fidelity audio reissues, recently announced the 30th anniversary editions of Mariah Carey’s iconic nine-times-Platinum holiday album, Merry Christmas. The MoFi version is available three formats all sourced from the original master tapes: a Hybrid SACD (available for the first time), a numbered-edition 180g 45RPM 2LP (limited to 4,000 copies), and a numbered-edition UltraDisc One-Step 180g 33RPM LP (limited to 3,000 copies). These releases are scheduled to ship to customers on December 13th.

Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Valerie June recently released her new holiday offering: Gifts, Presents, and Treats via Concord Records. The digital-only release features June’s unique style including “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” and “’Twas the Night Before Christmas.” This follows June’s summer release of shimmering pop-soul gems, “Friendship” (Feat. Carla Thomas and Stax Music Academy) and “High Note.”

“I really do have the sweetest fans ever,” comments June. “I was thinking of surprise holiday gifts, presents, and treats I could give them. The band [Jason DiMatteo (bass), Dan Lead (guitar), Dave Sherman (keys) and Greg Wieczorek(drums)] and I decided the best surprise treat would be to record a few of our favorite songs! We saw Valerie June in Feb 2017 and wrote, “With lighted stars hung from the microphones, the headlining set began as no other—with a short jazz drum solo. The rest of the band would soon take to the stage, alongside the musical melting pot that is Valerie June, dressed in a sequined fire engine red gown for a seventy-two minute set that blended blues, bluegrass, soul, country and Appalachian folk. The new album was clearly the focus, with nine of the twelve tracks played, including the opening, ‘Man Done Wrong’. The reedy voiced singer conversed immediately with the crowd after the opening song, talking about her 91 year-old grandmother falling before playing ‘The Hour’, the lyric “I was on my way back home, my heart was like a stone” also helping name her previous album.”

GRAMMY®-Award winning powerhouse singer/songwriter and multi-hyphenate actress Coco Jones has released Coco By The Fireplace, a new holiday/Christmas EP available on High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings.

Continuing with the holiday festivities, Coco Jones will be performing “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 28th and music from her holiday project on NBC’s Christmas In Rockefeller Center on December 4th

Recently, Coco was named to the 2024 Ebony Power 100 list for her contributions to music. She performed on this year’s BET Awards as part of the Usher tribute, delivering a soulful rendition of his hit single “There Goes My Baby.” Also, she was nominated for her first ever MTV VMA Award for MTV Push Performance of the Year for her breakout single “ICU”.
