Sharon Van Etten is back, and this time, she has a full band called The Attachment Theory, featuring Jorge Balbi (drums, machines), Devra Hoff (bass, vocals), and Teeny Lieberson (synth, piano, guitar, vocals). The band will play the Palace Theatre on May 10, 2025.
We saw Van Etten in Aug 2022 and said, “Speaking about a long time, wow, we haven’t seen Sharon Van Etten since July 2014. What happened was after the release of Are We There in 2014, Van Etten decided to take a break from music to pursue acting, raise a family, and studied at the Brooklyn College on psychology and mental health counseling. It’s good to have Sharon Van Etten back. She looked and sounded as she did eight years ago… as if she never left. Starting with “Headspace” and “Comeback Kid”, it’s like she’s telling the story of her own journey. She is the comeback kid. Van Etten’s new album, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong, is out now Jagjaguwar. ”

Youth Lagoon is back on tour, headlining the Turf Club on May 10, 2025, as part of their Rarely Do I Dream Tour.
We saw the band in May 2013 and said, “Youth Lagoon followed Majical Cloudz on the stage, and vocalist Trevor Powers changed up the visuals from the minimalist look that Majical Cloudz had. With a lit back drop and lights flashing and moving about, the change of base was nice to see. They also dedicated a song to their tourmates Majical Cloudz. ”
Opening the show is Vancouver-based artist Kaleah Lee, who recently released a new single called “Fever.”
