The band sold out their show the last time they were here in July 2024, so it’s highly recommended that you buy your tickets early: “The last time the band went on tour, post-pandemic in 2023, they didn’t stop in the area, band leader Steve Wynn explained at the Saturday night show, “We did a run of dates, but couldn’t fit in the Twin Cities…” but they made sure Minneapolis/St Paul was one of their 2024 stops. The band played two sets, the first was their standard Grand Salami Time set, and the second was looser with some old favorites and oddities. What made the Turf Club show on Saturday night so special was that Zuzu’s Petals was re-united to pay tribute and honor Laurie Lindeen, who passed away on July 1, 2024.”

Catskills-based singer/songerwriter Hannah Cohen is returning to the 7th Street Entry, on September 17, 2025. It appears that this was her day off with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, so she decided to book and headline the 7th Street Entry. Cohen’s critically acclaimed album Earthstar Mountain is out now on Bella Union / Congrats Records.

We saw Hannah Cohen in July 2019 and wrote, “New York singer-songwriter Hannah Cohen opened the show. Cohen said this wasn’t her first time in the Minneapolis area, however this was the first time that she got to play her own music. This suggest that she was part of another band or touring session musician. She didn’t volunteer what band or who she played for, but she did mention that she ate a lot of tacos prior to going on stage.
As you can see from her setlist, all the songs were taken from her Welcome Home album, which came out April 26, via Bella Union. Due to some error, she actually didn’t have the new album with her on tour.”

The Waterboys finally return to these shores on their first North American tour in six years, in support of new album, Life Death and Dennis Hopper, which is inspired by the life of the late Easy Rider actor (kind of a strange them for an album, but ‘In Mike we Trust’).

The Mike Scott-helmed band plays North America in September and October, kicking off on September 4th in Washington, DC and will wrap in Oklahoma City on October 4th.

The new record is the band’s sixteenth studio album, their first since 2022’s All Souls Hill. The lead single for the new record, “Hopper’s on Top (Genius)” arrived in January, followed by singles, including “Andy (A Guy Like You),” the Taylor (Dawes) Goldsmith-featured “I Don’t Know How I Made It,” and the Fiona Apple-featured “Letter from an Unknown Girlfriend.” The album was released in April and even features Bruce Springsteen and Scott and co. have had numerous memorable Twin Cities concerts over the last four decades, and all points indicate to another one here.
