The Devil Wears Prada
The Devil Wears Prada is a Dayton, OH metalcore band formed in 2005, known for blending melodic metalcore with Christian themes, existentialism, and, increasingly, complex emotional themes.
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA with Four Year Strong, Split Chain, and I Promised The World at The Granada Theater- Lawrence, KS (2026-03-29)

Dayton OH bandThe Devil Wears Prada is out on their 2026 Flowers Tour, supporting their ninth album of the same name (out via Solid State Records) released last November and made their way into downtown Lawrence for a show at The Granada Theater.

The band’s sound has evolved since their beginnings two decades ago and the live experience on this tour, bridges the gap between their rougher metalcore roots, and the more melodic, emotional direction they’ve been exploring in recent years.

The band has not only survived but thrived as musical tastes have changed and the industry has evolved, tallying an impressive overall half-a-billion streams, which speaks to their impact and ability to still grow and endure. Previous album Color Decay [2022] put the group on another level, both critically and in terms of popularity, and the current run is another chapter in that direction.

Frontman Mike Hranica remains a commanding presence, delivering his raw vocals with a still-unhinged intensity and Jeremy DePoyster’s clean vocals provide a melodic counterbalance, that together elevates the overall weight of their performance. Fresh but also familiar, any fans of the genre owe it to themselves to catch The Devil Wears Prada to see why they’ve continued to be a driving force making urgent new music.

====

Four Year Strong is a hard pop-punk band from Worcester, MA formed back in 2001 as high school friends. They are considered pioneers of the “easycore” genre which blends aggressive hardcore-influenced riffs with melodic, catchy choruses, The group, features the duo of vocalists/guitarists Dan O’Connor and Alan Day, and recent albums include Brain Pain (2020), and Analysis Paralysis (2024).

====

Split Chain is a rising British “nu-gaze” or “dreamo” band from Bristol, UK formed in 2023. The band blends shoegaze textures with 90s/00s grunge, emo, and alternative metal and quickly gained attention via their debut album, motionblur.

====

I Promised the World is a Denton, TX metalcore/post-hardcore band formed by vocalist/guitarist Caleb Molina in 2020, following the loss of his father. Their sound is a bit of throwback to the emo beginnings of this century, and following their 2023 debut EP, the group signed to Rise Records in 2025 and released a self-titled EP with lead single, “Bliss in 7 Languages”.
