Visible launches 5G Home Internet

■ VisibleVisible Service LLC, doing business as Visible by Verizon, (stylized as v˙s˙ble), is an American all-digital prepaid mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and brand wholly-owned by Verizon. Launched in 2018, the carrier offers services on the Verizon network, with all services delivered via e-commerce and mobile apps using generative artificial intelligence, and no brick and mortar retail presence.
As many of you guys know, I am Visible user since May 2021. What’s not to love? You get phone service as well as unlimited internet for $25 a month, and you get the sweet, sweet hotspot (limited to one device at a time).
For a time, I abandoned DSL home internet, due to their rising cost (I started at $35 a month and it steadily raised to $50 a month). I left DSL behind and mainly used Visible for internet using Visible’s hotspot. Then a month later, I signed up to Straight Talk Home Internet, which offered 100mbps for $45. I was paying less for faster internet than DSL.
When I was moving in the first quarter of 2025, we hired someone to come and remove everything in our home, and they accidentally took my Straight Talk. I panicked and cancelled my service. We got the device back, but could not re-activate the device… so that was the end of my 5G Home Internet misadventure.
For about a year now, I’ve been using Visible’s phone service as my main internet (hotspot). Look, it works and basically, it’s “free” with my cell service. Plus, you can go anywhere and it works thanks to cellular service.
There are many downsides to using hotspot as your internet. First of all, your phone will run hot or the battery drain is much faster due to constantly connected. Second, none of your internet-of-things will work properly (example home security cameras always need to be connected to upload footage). Third, hotspot is not as reliable as you think (you get disconnected at random). Fourth, internet speed can be slow or throttled.
Again, there are many problems when running the internet off your phone. So, yeah, I’ve been itching to get home internet… so enter: Visible Home Internet, which officially launched April 29, 2026.
I am super excited about this, because I’m already a happy Visible user. I know value when I see it, and with a FREE Gateway and $30 a month for unlimited internet – I will be getting this. I was waiting for Amazon Leo… but they still haven’t launched (and I’m certain will cost way too much).
So, I’ll be buying Visible Home Internet in a few days, and I’ll let you know what I think.
Here are some expectations:
• Easy activation and self-setup so you can get online in just minutes
• A fast and stable connection for multiple devices
• Download speeds up to 200 Mbps
• No monthly equipment fee and no contract
• $300 a year or $30 a month
• Free gateway equipment

There are concerns, of course. As with my original Visible Review, they have zero tech support. It’s all done through AI or online chat. If you’re used to talking to someone, forget about Visible. My other concern is reliability. I use my phone all the time and sometimes, it has trouble accessing Verizon’s network (this happens when I’m in a large gathering like a massive music festival), or it’s super slow. Also, they can change their terms and services anytime – as when they just removed “Party Pay”. Finally, upload speed is capped at 15mbps, which is a concern for some people. To me, that is fine, for the price you are paying.
Update: I may have spoken too soon – shortly after I posted this, I went onto their website to go through the process of buying Visible Home Internet and, of course, for whatever reasons, they said the service is not available to my address. Which is BS, if you asked me. I tried putting in two other addresses – and none of those other addresses will work either. I am convinced that the service will work in Jacksonville (since my phone works here). As much as I would love to get Visible Home Internet, as of this writing, I am unable to get it.
NOTE: While Visible said my address is no good – but guess what? Its parent company, Verizon said it will sell me 5G Home Internet, but costs $50 a month (you get a discount if you are also a Verizon mobile member). Kind of crummy, especially since they (Verizon and Visible) are basically the same company.
