Here is what is going on this week in Minneapolis/St Paul, ending on August 30, 2026: • Mo Lowda & The Humble at Fine Line (Aug 25, 2026) • Trish Toledo at Turf Club (Aug 27, 2026) • Pond at Fine Line (Aug 29, 2026) • MN State Fair (Aug 27-Sep 7, 2026)
Mo Lowda & The Humble at Fine Line (Aug 25, 2026)
August 25, 2026 Tuesday Mo Lowda & The Humble with Beemer at Fine Line first-avenue.com
We originally mentioned this Mo Lowda & the Humble show back in September 28, 2025. At the very last minute, it was moved to this week (a year later). The original explanation:
Minneapolis – we are extremely bummed to have to postpone tonight’s show at Fine Line to a later date TBD. Jordan woke up with no voice this morning after feeling like it was burning out near the end of last night’s set. We RARELY ever do 5 shows in a row and that’s by design. 4 days max, with some rest days in between has always felt like the magic number for maintaining vocal strength and health. Scheduling and tour routing this first week had us make an exception to that rule and unfortunately the smart move for the longevity of his voice and the rest of this tour is to sit this one out and not push through, risking further damage.
We love Minneapolis and always have the best crowds there and we absolutely hate to have to postpone shows, but we’re already working with the venue to find a reschedule date for when we can give you the set you all deserve. We plan to announce that in the next 1-2 weeks. All tickets will still be honored if you’d like to hang onto yours – if not, they can be refunded at point of purchase. We thank you for your understanding and continued support and we will see you soon. ❤️
Jordan, Shane, Jeff & Kirby
We saw Mo Lowda in April 2023 and wrote: “Despite the freeze and snow (in mid-April!), fans lined up outside the Entry to try to get in to see Mo Lowda and the Humble, which is a good sign for this dynamic, progressive alternative rock band. Speaking of the weather, the band (which started as a trio song singer/songwriter Jordan Caiola, drummer Shane Woods, and bassist Nate Matulis) gained notice when they signed to Bell Tower Records, to release their debut album Curse The Weather, in 2013. Now the group expanded with touring member Kirby Sybert, for their new album self-titled album and touring strong and building up a strong fanbase from across the country. Speaking to some new fans, they’ve never seen Mo Lowda before, but through word of mouth, they decided to come check out the band. If they love the band, they’re going to spread the word to their friends… and that’s the best kind of advertisement. ”
Beemer to open.

Pond at Fine Line (Aug 29, 2026)
August 29, 2026 Saturday Pond with Products Band at Fine Line first-avenue.com
Australian psychedelic rock band Pond returns to Minneapolis, playing the Fine Line on August 29, 2026.
The ticket limit is strict. Any attempt to exceed the posted ticket limit per customer or household, or to game the system in any way, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. There is a transfer delay for all tickets prior to the show.
Pond at First Avenue (23 Nov 2024)
We saw Pond in Nov 2024 and wrote: “Pond is known as a psychedelic rock band, but you wouldn’t have known it from the high intensity, straight rock & roll the Aussies started the set with. Front man Nick Allbrook is an energetic performer, always on the move, including a high kick in the first song. The second song, (I’m) Stung, is the title track to their newest album (Stung!) that the tour is supporting. These first two numbers are very radio friendly in both sound and length. Starting with the third song, Neon River, however, Pond started to slowly ramp up that psych rock sound. Here we got a new lead vocalist for the verses, with Allbrook crashing in for the chorus. This song feels very much like a Led Zepplin styled number and was the harbinger of where things were headed. The dual guitars and keys in the latter part of Sweep Me Off My Feet had that layered and experimental sound, and with increasingly common and extended instrumental solos, the psych rock label was well earned.”
Products Band (formerly known as Products) to open.

MN State Fair (Aug 27-Sep 7, 2026)
August 27, 2026-September 7, 2026 Minnesota State Fair at Minnesota State Fairgrounds mnstatefair.org
The great Minnesota Get-Together, Minnesota State Fair was voted #1 best fair in the country two years in a row by USA Today (2025-2026) (I wonder where Donald Trump’s poorly attended Great American State Fair rank). There’s no doubt about it, the annual Minnesota State Fair is the largest in the country, and it’s all good times with music and entertainment.
We went in Oct 2025 and wrote, ““I’ve never sang in front of pork chops smoke before,” Ber said on her first set at the MPR stage, at the great get-together, the Minnesota State Fair, on a hot Sunday. Unlike her previous appearances, such as her first show at First Avenue, with Sigrid, in Oct 2022, this Minnesota State Fair show is all acoustic. Not great, as the acoustic music, mostly handled by Brian, does not drown out all the excitement of the spin-the-wheel next door. We previously mentioned that Ber (originally from Minnesota) moved to London and was ‘discovered’ by Zane Lowe and Travis Mills of Beats 1 and BBC Radio One. When we saw her in 2022, we mentioned that she was working on her debut EP. That EP was called And I’m Still Thinking About That, and since then, she’s released Halfway and Room For You (her latest)… We also got the secret story behind “Your Internet Sucks”, which I’ve always thought was about a British boy that she dated for a year. She tells us one time she was making homemade potato gnocchi for his visit. She said it would take a good three hours to get it ready, and he showed up after driving an hour. He wanted to rest, so she left him alone for a few hours. When she finally came to get him, the whole time he was playing Fortnite on his iPad. Anyway, the song wishes that he has all the inconvenience of life… including the curse of bad internet. That’s cold, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. She ended her set with “Whatever Forever”, with Eric on tambourine. Of course, this was the great Minnesota State Fair, one of the largest, if not the largest?, in the country, and draws in thousands of Minnesotans. There are plenty of entertainment, fun for the whole family!”
If your band is coming to the Minneapolis/St Paul area, please email details to vu@weheartmusic.com with a good lead time. Thank you.
