Bugsy
Bugsy is a Minneapolis-based DIY indie punk band formed around 2018, featuring Emily Schoonover (vocals/guitar), Shannon Maroney (bass), Griffen Desai (guitar), and Alex Norman (drums). Known for a “fire-breathing” sound, they released EPs Teratoma (2020) and Now I Spend All of My Time Alone (2023), often producing their own music and merchandise

Minnesota Yacht Club Festival (20 July 2024)
The second day of the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival had even more attendees. We were also better prepared, bringing an extra battery pack for the iPhone (my phone died on Friday with heavy use throughout the day) and an empty bottle to take advantage of the hydrostations. Free parking was at the usually spot, and it was a nice day for walking to Harriet Island. Crossed over the bridge and entered the gates at 1pm, expecting to hear music already.

Skating Polly at 7th Street Entry, Minneapolis (22 June 2023)
Punk/pop Skating Polly, a young band featuring stepsisters Kelli Mayo and Peyton Bighorse with Kelli’s brother Kurtis, headlined the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis. The trio previously were endorsed and toured with punk legends X and Minneapolis’ grrrl punk band Babes in Toyland (we’ll get to that in a second!), but now headlining in support of their new record Chaos County Line. This was the first night of the tour.
