Last week was not good for Xbox. If you don’t keep up with video game news, I’ll catch you up
We’re about a month away from the launch of the ROG Xbox Ally X, and we still don’t know the actual price. Rumors and UK prices suggests the device will be anywhere from $700 to $800… although I personally thought it would probably be a $1,000 based on the trends I was seeing.
This Techtober we will be seeing the battle of the PC Handhelds. On one corner is the much-anticipated ROG Xbox Ally X and the other corner is the underdog Legion Go 2. Both will be using the next generation AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme Processor on the high-end models. If you were looking for the next level performance, you have to get the Z2 Extreme chip, because the lower-end model’s performance is comparable to last year’s Z1 Extreme.
Everybody knew the Nintendo Switch 2 was coming… after all, it’s been eight years since the original Switch launched and in the last few years, the original Switch just could not play any modern games. Technically those games do run, but at ‘potato speed’ as the kids call it. I bought a few games that just sucked on the Switch that I gave up on that system when I got the Steam Deck (which was then replaced by the ROG Ally).
Weekend Gamer here. With CES (Consumer Electronics Show) happening right now in Las Vegas, we are getting a lot of tech news, like the Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5090 Graphics Cards which will cost nearly $2,000! Officially the start date is January 7, but the media preview kickoff started January 6.
