Jessica Delfino – Sudden Change

Fair warning: Music and video may offend some people. It is also probably, mostly likely, not work safe.

I figure if you like the comedy style of Sarah Silverman, you’ll probably feel at home with Jessica Delfino. Delfino is a stand-up comic, artist, and singer, based out of New York (but was born and raised in Maine). She’s best known for her songs about her vagina. She did manage to record and release this EP called Dirty Folk Rock in 2004, which I’ll include “Sudden Change” here. It’s about how girls donate blood every month.

If you want to see more of her, she can be found all over youtube and other video websites. I believe she actually does all the animation and artwork for her videos, so keep that in mind when you see some of the artwork.

If you’re feeling lucky (and when I say ‘lucky’, I mean if you can get myspace to work), you can try to download four of her songs on www.myspace.com/jessicadelfinotunes. I actually couldn’t get mysuck to work. Maybe it senses how much I hate myspace?

Mandatory applause for each act and prizes of a certain value. (Jessy is also in the band Haunted Pussy, and they’re playing at this show)10 Jun 2007 – Fundraising Extravaganza The event will benefit the Mad Hatters’ Review and its local programs promoting innovative art and literature. Mad Hatters’ Review is a unique online multimedia magazine featuring edgy, experimental, gutsy, thematically broad, psychologically and philosophically sophisticated writings, music, art, collaborative ventures, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, dramatic pieces and experimental whatnots.

Random trivia: For twenty five clams, you can get her “Mile High Club Graphic Novel“. Don’t be deceive by the word ‘novel’, it looks like a comic book.
