STEVE AOKI

Steve Aoki, record producer and the founder of Dim Mak Records is stopping by Minneapolis at Epic this Saturday, November 9th.

Speaking of Dim Mak, the label will be releasing Imitation is Suicide, a three-part EP set, inspired by Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Self Reliance essay.”

Chapter 1 was produced by Chad Hugo of the Neptunes and Kenna, while Chapter 2 is solely produced by Kenna. Look for Chapter 3 in a few weeks (November 26th), featuring RJD2 and Kenna.

Meanwhile, Steve Aoki last album release, Wonderland, came out in 2012, but expect his new one Neon Future, to come out later this year on (what else?) Dim Mak Records. Last month, Aoki released remixes via the Boneless Remixes EP, which you can listen online at
soundcloud.com.

As of last year, Aoki was ranked by Pollstar as one of “the highest grossing dance artist in North America for the first half of the year”, so turnout to his live event will likely be well attended.
