As previously mentioned, the Minnesota State Fair is starting this week: August 21 to September 1st.
While the paid events are out of my price range, I would love to check out Journey* with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts on Labor Day (September 1st). Since it's my day off, I'll probably be wandering the fair ground and eating something on a stick.
* Please note that this Journey does not feature Steve Perry (who previously showed up randomly at Eels at Fitzgerald Theater), but Filipino singer-songwriter Arnel Pineda.
