The last time I saw London’s The Maccabees, they were one of three bands at Schubas Tavern in Chicago (09 June 2007). The other two bands were headliner Noisettes and Chicago local band Reds and Blue. The Maccabees were on their first American tour for their debut album Colour It In.

The band came to Minneapolis in February 2012, but unfortunately it was in the middle of winter so we didn’t cover the show.

The Maccabees’ latest Marks To Prove It will be out on July 31st via Fiction. The band is currently on tour on the Mumford & Sons‘ Gentlemen of the Road travelling festival. On their days off, they’ve booked some smaller club dates – including a stop at the Fine Line Music Café in Minneapolis.
