On An On

According to their bio, On An On is a “Minneapolis trio” (Nate Eiesland, Ryne Estwing, Alissa Ricci), but I have always thought of them as being based out of Chicago.

GOLDBERG

Light in the Attic Records is re-releasing the 1974 album Misty Flats by Minneapolis singer/songwriter Goldberg (full name Barry Thomas Goldberg) this July 24th, 2015 (next Friday). Why, you might ask? Well for the first time ever, it’ll be available on double LP, CD, and in digital format.

At the time of recording Misty Flats, Goldberg was 23 years old and his Minneapolis power pop group The Batch just broke up.

The album reflects upon Goldberg’s nomadic childhood, the vivid impressions the cinema left on him and also captures the spirit of a young man trying to finding himself post-Vietnam War. Goldberg remains to this day, working as an administrator for the Minnesota Twins baseball team.
