As I previously mentioned, Amazon’s Fallout television show is a hit. The official numbers, as reported by Variety, said that the show got 65 Million viewers in the first two weeks. That puts the show as the second most-watched title ever on the platform, just behind the hated The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

With the overwhelming positive response, Amazon has already renewed the show for a second season…. Which, as I previously mentioned, might be based on the beloved New Vegas game.

That’s not all the Fallout news, Bethesda released a “Next Gen Update” on Fallout 4 across all platforms, including the PC. Unfortunately, the GOG version may have to wait a little longer, if you got the game on that platform.

Details of the Next Gen Update:

I have started to dabble in Fallout 4 game again, just to see the new graphic update. I was immediately impressed that the game now runs in ultrawide, per my computer’s setting. This is especially good when you first see the introduction movie.

There is some bad news with the update. The patch will break any mods you may have, but that shouldn’t surprise anyone. Not really sure why people are so upset, they know the risks when installing mods.

PlayStation fans who got the game free through the PS Plus Essential program won’t get the Next Gen Update. Again, not sure why they are so upset. They never paid for the game, there’s no obligation from Bethesda to upgrade their version of the game. Also, considering that the game is usually on sale for $5, just buy it.

The only complaint that is valid is that the unofficial Fallout: London, created by fans of the game, has been put on hold indefinitely, as the Next Gen Update may break their game. I would rather wait for a working version, if it meant delaying the release. Also, since the mod is so big, they couldn’t host it on Nexus Mod … instead GOG has stepped in and will release the game on their platform.
