Punk trio Green Day is pleased to announced their three nominations for iHeartRadio Music Awards for “Rock Artist of the Year”, “Alternative Artists of the Year” and “Alternative Song of the Year” for their single “Dilemma.”

The Award Show will air live on March 17, 2025.

Speaking of Green Day, they also recently wrote, “Oh don’t ya know, we’re headlining Minnesota Yacht Club Festival this July and it’s exactly where you need to be !! Grab tickets Thursday @ 11am minnesotayachtclubfestival.com/tickets.”

I am happy to announce that we will be covering MN Yacht Club, so expect a few photos of Green Day. They are headlining the Sunday show (July 20, 2025), along with Sublime, 311, Garbage, Semisonic, Beach Bunny, The Beaches, Grace Bowers, Winona Fighter, and Landon Conrath. I’ve previously mentioned that I’m most excited for Garbage. I just hope it’s a bright and sunny day…. as you know Shirley Manson is only “happy when it rains.”

Personally speaking, I know a lot of my friends and family regretted missing out on the first Minnesota Yacht Club in July 2024, because it sold out. This year, they didn’t make that mistake, they’ve already purchased their tickets as soon as it was made public. And wouldn’t you know it? As of this writing (February 5), the 3-Day General Admission Tickets are SOLD OUT! There is a waitlist for GA+ tickets and VIP tickets are running out… so you can still go, but you’ll have to spend a little more for some extra perks.

Anyway, if you really want to see Green Day this year – they are only playing music festivals in 2025. The US Festivals are limited to only these four: Coachella, Welcome to Rockville, BottleRock Napa Valley, and Minnesota Yacht Club. We’re happy they’re on board for the Yacht.

Minneapolis band she’s green just announced that they officially signed to New York City’s Photo Finish Records. To celebrate, they’re sharing “Graze” as the new single with an official music video.

Shane Friedman, the A&R of Photo Finish explains, “The first time I heard she’s green’s music, I was completely and utterly compelled. I knew I had to see this band live, immediately. So on a sweltering June day, I flew to Minneapolis and piled into a hot, sweaty basement with 100 other local fans and watched them hypnotize the entire crowd. It was a show I’ll never forget. As we got to talking, I knew this was a band who had a clear vision for not only what they want their music to sound like, but also the world they intend to build around it. They’re imaginative, innovative and incredibly talented musicians. We could not be more excited to welcome them to the Photo Finish family and hit the ground running.”

We’ve seen she’s green a few times, like March 2024, where we said, “Their sound can be described as lush shoegazing as Armstrong and Lucas hardly looked up from their pedals. A crowd favorite was “Smile Again” as “Tarmac” built into a wonderful crescendo with Smith’s longing vocals.”

At that show, in March, they played with Phoenix shoegazing band Glixen. So, we’re happy to see that the two band will once again team up at the 7th Street Entry on March 7th, 2025. Linus also on the bill.

Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Riley Green is kicking off his “Damn Country Music Tour” on March 27 in Abbotsford, BC, Canada.

Riley loves touring, saying, “I learned to play guitar to my granddaddy’s favorite country songs from back in the day and the new album is a throwback to the era when I first became a fan. For this tour I was able to find some of my favorite artists and songwriters to join us, and singing with Ella [Langley] every night will be a lot of fun.”
