Herb Alpert at Orchestra Hall (Sep 20, 2026)
Trumpeter Herb Alpert is headlining the Orchestra Hall on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Minneapolis. Originally booked at the Dakota Jazz Club, but that immediately sold out that they upgraded the venue (and that too also sold out).
We’re not surprised, the guy’s album Whipped Cream & Other Delights outsold The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and the Rolling Stones – thanks to that naughty cover artwork of model Dolores Erickson in whipped cream!

GRAMMY Award-winning country duo Dan + Shay is bringing their show to the Mystic Lake Amphitheater, in Shakopee, Minnesota, on Sep 13, 2026.

We saw the Dan & Shay in 2022 and wrote, “Four-time GRAMMY winners Dan + Shay started their sixty-five-minute set with one of their biggest hits, “10,000 Hours”, a 2019 collab with Justin Bieber that both topped charts here, as well as north of the border. The duo, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney are out in support of 2021’s Good Things (on Warner Bros Nashville) and even had Mooney’s grandfather in the audience, dedicating 2016’s From the Ground Up” to him. Love ballad “You” is the latest single from the new album and that was followed by a Bill Withers verse that would preface 2021’s” Lying”. Before “Give in to You”, Smyers mentioned his wife Abby is from the Kansas City area and a huge Chiefs fan, which instantly got the crowd on their side, and the band ended with the chart-topping hit (that Abby even sings background on), “Tequila”.”
The tour will feature support from Tyler Hubbard and Josh Ross.

Bleachers returns to Minneapolis, playing the Armory, on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

We saw Bleachers in 2021 and wrote, “We’ve seen Bleachers before, they’re a really fun pop group from New York. This time around, joining songwriter/record producer Jack Antonoff (who is also in Steel Train, Fun, and Red Hearse) on stage were keyboardist Evan Smith, guitarist Mikey Hart, drummer/keys Sean Hutchinson, drummer Mike Riddleberger, and saxophonist Zem Audu. Starting their set with “Let’s Get Married”, followed by “Shadow”, the band had the audience sing along to their high-energy songs. I think the coolest thing about Bleachers is that Antonoff would personalized random merchandises, like writing on patches, so some lucky fans could get something interesting when they visit the merch table.”

Red Bull Flugtag 2019
We saw the Red Bull Flugtag in 2019 and wrote, “Flugtag returned to the area for the first time since July 2010, and became Red Bull’s only flying event since 2017. The roots of the competition date back to Selsey, England and 1971 when it was called ‘The Birdman’s Rally’, with the first Flugtag taking place in Vienna in 1991 and now with over 150 competitions since, in over thirty-five different international locations. In the United States, each flying machine must have a maximum wingspan of 30 feet (9.1 m) and a maximum weight (incl. pilot) of 450 pounds (200 kg) with the craft powered only by muscle, gravity, and imagination. Additionally, because the aircraft will ultimately end up in the water, it must be unsinkable and constructed entirely of environmentally friendly materials, cannot have any loose parts, and any advertising space is limited to one square foot.”
