Big Time Rush
with Katelyn Tarver & Stephen Kramer Glickman
at Daily’s Place

dailysplace.com

Big Time Rush is stopping by Daily’s Place, on July 15, 2025, as part of their In Real Life Worldwide Tour.

Katelyn Tarver and Stephen Kramer Glickman to open.

We caught Tarver in Oct 2024 and wrote, “She actually had a pretty funny story about her time playing in Japan, at a maid café, which she turned into a song. I will let Tarver sum it up in her own words: “When I was a teenager, I had an album I was promoting, and it ended up taking me overseas to Japan to promote it. I performed at a bunch of gigs, but one in particular was at a maid cafe where they requested I wear a French maid outfit for the performance. The audience watched while sitting in school desks, and the sound system was a boombox with a microphone held up to the speaker. It’s become one of those stories I tell at parties about my weird life as a teenage wannabe popstar, and now it’s the inspiration behind my newest song Japanese Café… I used to be embarrassed about this time in my life, but writing this song helped me find a new appreciation for the girl in this picture.” Katelyn Tarver ended her set with the title track from her new album Quitter, available now on Nettwerk Records.”

Mates of State
with Toth
at Jack Rabbits

jaxlive.com

Mates of State are in their Somewhere tour, stopping by Jack Rabbits, in Jacksonville, on July 18, 2025.

We saw Mates of State in July 2015 and wrote, “Mates of State’s drummer/singer Jason Hammel’s very big family (parents, cousins, sisters, grandparents, uncles, etc.) had shown up to show support on Wednesday. Hammel mentioned several times during their hour plus set, even dedicating “My Only Offer” to his grandfather/mother in the audience. Although there were plenty of Hammel families, there were also a large amount of fans who came out to hear some classic songs, as the duo had not been in Minneapolis since 2011, when they were touring for Mountaintops. Songs on their set were a good mix of best-known songs, such as “Palomino”, “The Re-Arranger”, and “Now” (which had the audience doing fancy footwork dancing).”

Toth to open.
