Daredevil: Born Again: Season 2 (2026)

Daredevil: Born Again: Season 2 (2026)
The new season of Daredevil: Born Again is slowly dropping week after week on Disney+. If you haven’t been keeping up, Born Again is a continuation of the Netflix’s Daredevil series.
I did have some problems with early impressions of the first season, I said it was too slow. After I watched the first season, the way they treated White Tiger, it just sucked. They basically introduce this character, only to kill him right away – so we never saw what a badass that character is. It sucked because the way he’s murdered, he never even put up a fight! They did it as a shocker, but I hated it. At least give him a fighting chance!
I was wondering why the story was all over the place and disjointed. I later found out that half of that first season was recycled footage from the unaired Season 4. So, basically Daredevil was out of action for the majority of the first season. By the time Matt Murdock put back on the suit, I was checked out and didn’t care.
Born Again Season 2 continues where the first season left off, so Daredevil is back in action, in a black and red costume. Now, I understand it’s early days, but I hated all the dialogue in the first episode. It’s all setting things up, but I think it drags down the show for me.
There are some interesting things about the show that is reflective of the real world. You can see how the show is portraying the Kingpin as Donald Trump. Kingpin’s ruthless personal police task force reflects our I.C.E. thugs. Instead of killing migrants and American protesters, Kingpin’s police are after people that Kingpin don’t like (under the disguise that they’re “Vigilantes”). It’s fascinating how the show reflects real life.
My least favorite episode so fare is #5, the flashback episode. I know it’s to build up the story of the past and give perspective to the current situation… but I just felt it was wasting my time. I just wanted to get back to the present time. I also didn’t like that the show’s budget is small. For example, that big boxing scenes was supposed to be in an arena… but instead you only saw like four people in the audience.
My favorite thing about these Daredevil series is the great fight choregraphs. Every fight is just amazing, because Daredevil is blind, he’s doing some crazy moves that you couldn’t see it in a regular fighter. There are two fight scenes in the first episode that was just so good and brutal. I think this is Daredevil’s strong point, the street level fighting and brawling.

Invincible: Season 4 (2026)

Invincible: Season 4 (2026)
After numerous delays, the fourth season of Invincible is finally airing on Amazon Prime. As you know, I’ve been watching this animated series since its debut in April 2021.
The comic creator, Robert Kirkman is known for his horror Zombie series The Walking Dead… for Invincible, it’s kind of his take, or copies, or parodies, of the super-hero genre. His “Superman” is Omniman, but spoiler alert, he’s part of a space Nazi planet Viltrum.
So far, for Season 4, we are told the origin of the Viltrumites, and there’s a big secret about the planet and the space Nazis.
I’ve only seen the first six episodes, but they’re all enjoyable. Each episode feels like a full, epic movie. They’re an hour long, but it’s a complete story, from start to finish.
My least favorite is that Hell episode. It has nothing to do with the rest of the series, so like others have pointed out, it felt unnecessary to have in this season. Perhaps it could have been a stand-alone episode could have been treated like an epilog or just a random bonus episode, like how Netflix treated the “Dream of a Thousand Cats” episode of The Sandman.
As for the other Invincible episodes, it has some of the most violent and brutal hand-to-hand combat between Mark (Invincible) and Conquest. We’re talking spilling guts. It was so disgusting. The fight was so brutal that it took Mark several months to recover after that fight… so while he’s out of action, Omniman and Mark’s brother from another mother half-brother to have training and bonding.
I’ve read all of Invincible Compendium, and from what I can remember, some comics are in color, but some are in black and white. It’s been a long time since I read them, so I actually have no idea how it’ll all end.
