John Lennon

John Winston Ono Lennon was an English musician, activist, and member of the Beatles. As the band’s co-lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and founder, he and Paul McCartney formed a songwriting partnership that remains the most successful in history. Lennon’s work as a solo artist and with the Beatles reinvented the rock song. His songs, including “All You Need Is Love”, became anthems for the counterculture and anti-war movements.
