News: Blur Drummer Running for Office in London (Updated)

I wasn’t going to mention this, but I guess there’s a lot of Blur fans that need to know this kind of information. Robin sent this in:

Since we’re on the subject of Blur, their record label, EMI recently made a splash with their “No DRM” catalog (for an extra $0.29 per song and extra bitrate). I’ve been closely following this news since February. Keep in mind that around this time, last year, EMI introduced a DRM scheme, in Brazil, that blocks you from playing the CD you bought from playing on Linux & MacOS and the ability to load songs onto an iPod (and to top it off, the software is not removeable).
Anyroad, the song, “Death of a Party”, has nothing to do with politicians. You can probably insert your own meaning to what the ‘Party’ is, but I figure it’s about Britpop.
