Team America – America, F* Yeah
I was looking for a good ‘American’ song, and this is the best I can dig up: Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s “Team America: World Police” Soundtrack.
I must admit, I’ve always liked South Park ever since I saw that Santa vs Jesus in some crazy Street Fighter II fireball move. I kind of didn’t have cable television for a long time, so I’ve just stopped watching it after the first few seasons. Their humor really isn’t for everyone, it’s sometime plain offensive!
So, my friend and I went to see “Team America” in the theaters and when this song came up in the movie, we were cracking up at how hilarious it was.
The best part of the song is probably when he sings, “Bath and Beyond!” and one guy quietly said, “f-yeah!”
That’s pretty much all I have, sorry. I just wanted to use this song for today. Have a happy Independence Day. I’m going to be grilling some anti-vegetarian BBQ tomorrow morning. You guys are all invited, if you’re vegetarian, you might have to bring your own food … unless you can live off relish.
