Mythos – November / Jay Semko – Due South Theme

Here I go again, single handedly destroying the account’s bandwidth with my dualuploads… I cannae help it, there’s just too much good music out there to upload one at a time :o(

So while Vu’s in a TV soundtrack mood, here’s a couple from my favourite TV show ever, Due South. Useless fact: The first soundtrack to the show was the first ever CD I purchased. Yep, it’s that good. One of the best soundtracked shows I’ve seen, apparently much of the music came about from the producers plan to showcase Canadian talent.

One of the most obvious of those talents was Paul Gross, lead actor (the mountie one), sometimes writer and often singer, he wrote and performed a couple of songs for the show, a highlight being the folk / soft rock Robert MacKenzie. But I figured the hell of getting three different audio widgets alinged here would kill me, so instead I’ve left you with the trip-hop electronica of Mythos‘ November instead. Cos I’m weird like that…

Oh yeah, there’s the title track too, just incase you forgot it after the 1000s of repeats the show’s seen. Written by Jay Semko along with much of the other instrumental music in the show, the updated version from the 3rd & 4th series is a little more interesting than the earlier one, a kinda folky / rock mixture and possibly the best theme tune I’m ever likely to hear for a while. At least until the shows next repeat.
