Before all the transitions and dramas, I had the intention of doing a tour announcement for Peelander-Z, the most amazingly fun band to see live. Listen to Cristina and I gush over them on episode #78 (download the file).
From the latest press release, I see that they’ve just recorded a brand new album called P-TV-Z, to be released September 28th via Chicken Ranch Records. The free clip that we got is “E-I-E-I-O” (which you can also download for free at official.fm), is pretty much what you’d expect from a Peelander-Z song: simple and fun. It’s basically “Old MacDonald Had a Farm”, but done in a Peelander-Z fashion.
I’ll go on record and say that they’re not exactly a “studio” band. To really appreciate this band, you really, really, have to see them live. The good news is that they are doing yet another national tour for P-TV-Z! See you there!
PS, here’s a vuart for Peelander-Z:
