Sleeper is probably my all-time modern favorite band, at least when they were active. I've created a fanzine and website devoted to Sleeper…

I love fanzines. How I got into them were through Tower Records' massive magazine stand. They would sometime carry local fanzines. Usually the type of 'zines I was interested in were Morrissey, Suede, or Britpop-type at the time. From the Tower Records purchases, I would order even more 'zines in their classifies.

Most of these fanzines had very small print runs. We're talking normally fewer than 100 copies.

By 1996, I was bitten by the bug and decided to release a 'zine dedicated to Sleeper. I felt, at the time, there was a gap in Sleeper fanzines, since the Indolent Records' "Gorgeous and Fully Equipped" were lacking for an American audience.

As for my Sleeper fanzine, "The It Zine": only three issues were produced. There was a fourth issue, which never made production. I still have the 'proof' copy of #4 – I may scan in the entire issue for sleeper.weheartmusic.com someday.
