Remember Scissor Sisters? Derek Gruen (aka Del Marquis) will be releasing his debut album, Cosmos, out March 26th, 2013, under his moniker Slow Knights.

The album is described as “soulful” and “RnB”, which is not the typical Scissor Sister’s music style.

TEENAGE KICKS

teenagekicksteenagekicks.com

Their name, Teenage Kicks, makes me think of the wonderful Undertones. Their new song is called “Middle of the Night”, which you can download here.

Their website doesn’t exactly list where they are from, but if I were to hazard a guess, I’d say they’re from Canada, as their last gig was in Hamilton.

Anyway, their most recent EP, Be On My Side, is out now. You can catch the band if you’re heading to SXSW this year at
Friends (Canada House) at 12:00 pm on March 16th.
