FILTER Magazine and DIRECTV’s Guitar Center Sessions Live show at the Starr Building (503 Colorado St. between 5th and 6th Street).

Friday’s Guitar Center Sessions Live will feature The Wild Feathers and Soundgarden, and the finale Saturday will feature Phantogram and Snoop Dogg.

Damon Albarn playing for DirecTV. Very melancholy new material. One minus of shows like this is portions of the crowd have no clue who he is, or could care less.
That said, I love his stuff and will buy the new CD when it is released.

Songs on his set included a Blur B-Side “All Your Life”.

Damon Albarn is the frontman for Blur, and later also found success with Gorillaz. He will be releasing his solo album Everyday Robots on Parlophone/Warner Bros. later this year.
