Legendary Brazilian guitarist and vocalist Badi Assad will be stopping by the Cedar Cultural Center next Thursday, as part of a promotional tour for her new album Hatched (which came out Oct 16). The album featured some new covers of Lorde’s “Royals” and the Hunger Games’ “Hanging Tree” … but with a unique Brazilian twist.

Opening up the show will be English guitar player Adrian Legg.

Austin’s Wild Child will be in town in support of their third album Fools (Dualtone).

I thought they were the same band (also called Wild Child) that opened up for Iceage in 2013. The Minnesota punk band was ejected from the stage for throwing a bottle of water into the bar (and potentially harming the audience). The Triple Rock shut them down, and rightly so.

Thankfully, this other Wild Child is probably not as wild…

Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and visual artist Elliot Moss to open. Moss is on tour in support of his debut album Highspeeds (Grand Jury).
