Laura Gibson will be at the 7th Street Entry on January 15th. Her last album Empire Builder was a “a triumph” according to Uncut Magazine. I can relate, as the first time I heard “La Grande”, I fell in love with Gibson’s ghostly tale in March 2012. She writes great songs.

Show up early to check out Stelth Ulvang, the multi-instrumentalist currently playing with The Lumineers and Dovekins.

We caught Tuomo & Markus with the Jayhawks in Dec 2018 and said, “The three-band evening began with a crisp set from Tuomo & Markus, a new project described as Nordic Americana from Finnish soul/jazz artist Tuomo Prättälä and singer/songwriter Markus Nordenstreng of The Latebirds. Performing as just a duo, the pair returns as a proper six-piece, in just a few weeks, in support of debut album Dead Circles, to headline the Cedar Cultural Center on January 18.”

Well January is here, so expect the duo to headline the Cedar this Friday, January 18th.
