Eels (aka Mark Oliver Everett) will be returning to First Avenue in Minneapolis on Tuesday, April 23rd, still in support of the latest album The Deconstruction.
We love Eels, and caught him in June 2018 and wrote, “The return of Eels with 2018’s The Deconstruction is pretty important, because after their 2014 tour and album release, Mark Everett (aka “E”) had reconsidered retiring from music. He was simply burnt out from the constant tour and constantly producing new music. So the band took a break, and E tried out acting (appearing in Netflix’s Love), and spent time with his family.”
We also noted that he had a very excellent band in the podcast that we recorded right after the show.
Soulful funk-influenced rocker The Inspector Cluzo will open.
