first-avenue.com
Grammy Award-winning guitar virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela is touring in support of their new album In Between Thoughts…A New World (ATO Records).
Rodrigo y Gabriela (15 Aug 2014)
|
We saw the duo in Aug 2014 and wrote, “Rodrigo y Gabriela are truly in a class all their own, playing a unique blend of flamenco, hard rock, soul, and classical in what they call acoustic metal. The pair first met as thrash metal fans in their native Mexico City, then left to find bigger fortunes in Dublin and are in support of their latest, 9 Dead Alive (Rubyworks Records), which pays tribute to a different social champion in each of its songs.”

Leith Ross
with Kevin Atwater and Kai Warrior
at 7th St Entry
first-avenue.com
Canadian singer/songwriter Leith Ross is currently on a sold-out North American tour in support of the debut album To Learn, More.
Talking about the record, Ross said, “This debut record o’ mine was written during a couple of major changes in my life. It’s about going through big transitions. Moving, losing, and making friends, deep hurt and betrayal, real and steadfast love, and the years in which I felt like I was truly growing up and becoming something different. Mostly it’s about learning. About myself, about the world, about people, about love. The kind of love I want to foster and nurture until my dying day. To live is to learn and to learn is the best. At least that’s the gist of it.”
Kevin Atwater and Kai Warrior to open.
