With the announcement of Diablo IV’s first expansion Vessel of Hatred coming out October 8, 2024, I’ve decided to go back to the game before the expansion is released. As you know, I’ve been playing the game since March 2023, but gave up on it due to lack of interests.

Since then, the developer, Blizzard have changed the loot system and making the game fun again. I still cannot stand the level-scaling, but I’ll tolerate it because I just want to beat the game.

Vessel of Hatred will feature a new Spiritborn class, a new jungle region, a “roguelike” gameplay, as well as pets (which is available for use now). The pet is a very nice addition, as they will go and fetch gold for you. Right now, if you have Diablo IV, make sure to equip the dog in your wardrobe.

I have two Diablo IV characters right now, the overpowered Necromancer, who is unstoppable with the auto-exploding corpse equipment, and a Rogue (level 54). I love the artwork of the Rogue, especially with the armor and various bows and the great stalker-ish animation. I was inspired by it that I did a quick sketch of my Rogue on my iPad the other day.

At the moment, I’ve restarted the game with the Barbarian. After that, I’ll try out the Sorcerer, and finally the Druid. Hopefully by that time, I’ll get the expansion and start playing the Spiritborn character.

P.S. Speaking of Blizzard and Activision, they announced a Fallout theme in Call of Duty III (available now), and I was ready to buy Call of Duty III and the DLC… but I could not find the “Tracer Pack: Fallout Vault Dweller Bundle” for sale. So, I guess no sale!
