    Jeris Johnson

Jeris Johnson is on his The Dragonborn Tour. Based on the name, they suggest this is going to be Metal Music with House of the Dragon. He recently wrapped up his tour with Falling In Reverse… so if that sounds
    .…

Jeris Johnson, aka Jeris, recently headlined the 7th Street Entry (his sixth only headlining show), in Minneapolis, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Jeris mentioned that every time he played in Minneapolis, “it’s been cold as f***!” and that’s why he brought out his fur coat and dressed accordingly… but for whatever reasons, Minneapolis was much warmer than he expected and now he’s sweating, despite being shirtless.

When Jeris is talking about always being the support act, he’s probably referring to the recent Falling in Reverse tour from 2022, which gave him the opportunity to visit many cities that he wouldn’t have played, such as Kansas City in 2022.

Being back on tour in 2024, and recently headlining his own “Dragonborn Tour” was a major accomplishment for the singer and songwriter. As you can tell by his songs and clothing and that totally metal shield, he is a massive fan of George RR Martin’s Game of Thrones and of medieval fantasy.

There were two openers for this tour, the first was BLAKSWAN, who is a recent new artist. He had a brief set and played his debut song “Jesuschrist Superstar”.

The other band was a rap group called Slay Squad. What sets them apart is that not only do they have a DJ, but they also have a full live band that played live music as the two dueling vocalists raps.

The group is from California, and they mentioned that they’ve never been this far out east, and it was their first real tour. They often incite moshing and slam dance and circle pits, which the younger audience happily complied.

They also had this gimmick that when they say “Slay”, they ask for a call-back from the audience… which, again, the audience was happy to comply and would scream back “Slay!” at the top of their lungs.

    The Dragonborn tour continues.
