Unlike some previous holidays, there’s a couple rockin’ shows to decide between, whether in costume or not (see below), ending Rocktober with a bang!
More 2026 shows announced recently too – New Edition/Boys II Men (Feb 5); The Last Dinner Party (Apr 1); Puscifer (May 1), and more, so start saving now, and an early FIFA drop for World Cup tickets, happens on Monday morning.
Let’s take look at the Kansas City / Lawrence KS metro musical happenings for the last days of the month, from October 27th -31st.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Broadway touring) Oct 28- Nov 2, Music Hall, $57-$185
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the first North American touring production of the musical presented by Disney in over 25 years. Based on the 1991 Academy Award®-winning animated feature film, this musical version premiered on Broadway in 1994 and was nominated for nine Tony® Awards (winning for Best Costume Design), Beauty remains one of the highest-grossing Broadway shows of all time. The title was revived for new generations with the Oscar®-nominated 2017 live-action film, which grossed over $1B worldwide.
The production stars Kyra Belle Johnson as Belle and Fergie L. Philippe as the Beast. and are joined by Stephen Mark Lukas as Gaston, Danny Gardner as Lumiere, Kathy Voytko as Mrs. Potts, Wichita’s Javier Ignacio as Cogsworth, Harry Francis as Le Fou, Kevin Ligon as Maurice, and more.
Reuniting to create this new production are members of the original Tony Award®-winning artistic team, including composer Alan Menken (who wrote the film’s beloved score with the late lyricist Howard Ashman), Tim Rice, who wrote lyrics for the stage adaptation.
Tate McRae, Alessi Rose, Oct 28, T-Mobile Center,$172-$714
I think you know what this is… Count us as fans of the sultry Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer. She first gained prominence as a contestant on the reality tv series So You Think You Can Dance in 2016, then would be signed by RCA Records and went on to release two EPs, All the Things I Never Said and Too Young to Be Sad. “You Broke Me First” was a breakout single, and her cooing, slightly raspy voice was featured on the collab hit with Troye Sivan and DJ Regard, “You.”
The Miss Possessive Tour is her fifth concert tour and first arena tour and began on March 18 in Mexico City, set to conclude on November 8 in Inglewood, CA after 83 shows, in support of her third studio album, So Close to What (2025)
Support comes from Alessi Rose, an English indie pop singer-songwriter from Littleover.UK, who has released the EPs Rumination as Ritual, For Your Validation and Voyeur, and previously served as an opening act for Noah Kahan’s 2024 tour
Ethan Regan with Palmyra, Oct 28, recordBar,$20
The North Carolina native singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer has released his highly anticipated new EP, honey honey honey, via Columbia Records. The six-track EP features tracks like “get by,” and “cartilage” which explores themes of heartbreak, healing, and self-discovery.
“I enjoyed piecing each song together, some took months to complete, others just hours,” said Ethan Regan, reflecting on the creative process behind the EP. “I’m grateful to have a project out that clearly expresses the way I think about music.”
Arrive early for Virginia alternative band Palmyra, who released their debut album Restless (via Oh Boy Records) earlier this year – ten tracks that tackle complex and painful topics from suicide and gender dysphoria to identity and the relentless pressure of capitalism.

Multi-platinum selling rock acts A Day To Remember and Yellowcard co-headline to bring their Maximum Fun Tour along with special guests, The Wonder Years & Dinosaur Pile Up.
Since their formation in 2003, Florida’s A Day To Remember quietly emerged as one of the biggest underground bands in the world. They’ve achieved one platinum album, two gold albums, one platinum single, and four gold singles, with each full-length record ascending to #1 on the Billboard Rock, Indie, and/or Alternative Chart including their most recent release,
Formed in Jacksonville FL in 1997, Yellowcard became one of the most influential bands in the 2000’s alternative rock scene. Known for blending high energy pop punk with a signature violin twist, their 2003 breakthrough Ocean Avenue is certified Platinum with the title track now certified 2 times platinum. After disbanding in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022 entering into a new creative era and a year packed with a global tour to support it.
Their new album is called Better Days (released October 10th via Better Noise Music) featuring lead single and title track “Better Days” along with album track “honestly I”, produced by Blink-182’s Travis Barker, who also plays drums on the record.
Militarie Gun, Oct 29, Bottleneck- Lawrence, $20-$25
The LA-based band are out in support of new album God Save The Gun via Loma Vista Recordings today, featuring recent single, “God Owes Me Money,” which follows singles “B A D I D E A” and “Throw Me Away.”
Vocalist and primary songwriter Ian Shelton says of the new record, “Over the past couple years, as I spoke about addiction from the perspective of someone affected by it, I became the one struggling with it. There’s a farcical logic to entering a situation, fully knowing the consequences, and doing it anyway – but that’s where my head was when I started leaning on drinking.”
Shelton and his bandmates – guitarists William Acuña and Kevin Kiley, bassist Waylon Trim, and drummer David Stalsworth will be back in the Spring with Joyce Manor as well, but at a bigger venue next May, so check them out in the relatively intimate Bottleneck, while you can.
THURSDAY OCTOBER 30
Patty Griffin / Rickie Lee Jones, Oct 30, Uptown, $50-$109
2x GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Patty Griffin has shared “Born In A Cage,” the second song from her new and eleventh full-length. Crown Of Roses released July 25, via her own PGM Recordings label via Thirty Tigers). That song captures what Griffin’s mother was experiencing as her time wound down and the natural beauty outside her window changed.
“At the end, my mom was noticing that the songbirds weren’t showing back up in the spring, and rabbits and all kinds of animals were disappearing,” says Griffin. “Even the coyotes moved into Maine because they lost their habitat. There were all these changes to the delicate balance, and it must’ve been really hard to see.”
And don’t forget Rickie Lee Jones– the longtime musician, storyteller, and two-time Grammy winner who has been releasing inspiring music for decades, beginning with her self-titled debut. Jones released her Grammy-nominated album Pieces of Treasure in 2023 and her memoir Last Chance Texaco was named “Book of the Year” by MOJO and a “Best Book of the Year” by Pitchfork and NPR.
The Band CAMINO with Almost Monday, Oct 30 Midland,$51-$85
A huge upgrade from the first-announced Oct 7- Bottleneck date, San Diego’s almost monday are out on their The Never Always Tour with The Band CAMINO as support. The band kicked off this year by scoring their first #1 at alt radio with the infectious hit “can’t slow down”, and made their late night debut on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!
They recently dropped their brand-new single and video, “enjoy the ride” — a sun-soaked anthem about letting go of the pressure to have everything figured out and embracing the moment.

Daughtry, Seether, P.O.D, Kami Kehoe, Oct 31, Midland, $68-$590
Halloween in KC will rock! Daughtry’s latest single, “The Day I Die,” was out in April, following the release of their Shock To The System (Part One) EP last September and follows after supporting runs for Disturbed and Creed. Seether is out in support of their ninth studio album, The Surface Seems So Far, released last September.
Since forming in Pretoria, South Africa in 1999, Seether (Shaun Morgan, Dale Stewart, John Humphrey and Corey Lowery) has amassed three platinum and two gold albums, 22 #1 singles, 21 Top 5 multi- format hits, single sales topping 17 million and over 2 billion streams worldwide.
Daughtry debuted big with their self-titled first record, the top-selling album of 2007 and was the fastest selling rock debut album in Soundscan history. The record was nominated for 4 GRAMMY® Awards and won 4 American Music Awards, alongside 7 Billboard Music Awards. Later records, Leave This Town (2009), Break The Spell (2011), and Baptized (2013) have all gone Platinum, with Cage To Rattle (2018) certified Gold.
P.O.D. (Payable on Death) is a longtime nu metal band from San Diego, formed in 1992. The band is known for blending elements of metal, hip-hop, and reggae, and for its lyrics that often focus on themes of faith, hope, and perseverance, though they maintain a rock band identity rather than purely a “Christian band” identity.
Kami Kehoe is a LA-based, Vegas-raised, artist, known for her powerful voice and as a dynamic drummer with electrifying performances with a modern alternative-rock sound. With 24M+ views, she has caught attention across social media showcasing her live drumming.
Dogpark, Oct 31, Encore at Uptown, $28-$84
NYC indie rockers Dogpark are bringing their The Corporate Pudding Tour to Midtown KC on Halloween Night! Dogpark were just featured on People Mag’s Fall 2025 Emerging Artists list, and in three years, they’ve gone from playing basement gigs at the Univ. of Richmond (where they started out as Egdol [“lodge” backwards) to selling out their first headline tour, in support of sophomore EP, Until The Tunnel Vision Melts.
