November 7-10, 2025, Upcoming concerts / shows (Kansas City, MO /Lawrence, KS metro)

Not to start off on somber news again, but we were saddened and dismayed to hear singer-songwriter Todd Snider was recently assaulted and injured near his Salt Lake City hotel, enough that he’s had to cancel all remaining dates. We saw Snider (and his faithful dog) in 2019 in St. Paul MN and know he relies on touring and merch sales to sustain a living, so could use any support. Snider caused some kind of ruckus while being discharged from the hospital and was detained, so a bad situation, was made worse.

In brighter news, it was a “treat” not a “trick” on Halloween when Snocaps surprised released their debut album on Halloween Friday. The duo consists of KC area resident Katie Crutchfield, aka Waxahatchee, and her sister Allison and the ANTI- released record is the sisters first music together since releasing music as P.S. Eliot.

Let’s take look at the Kansas City / Lawrence KS metro musical happenings for this weekend from November 7th- 10th.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7

Sanguisugabogg, Despised Icon, Defeated Sanity, Nov 7, Granada- Lawrence, $33.34

Boundary-pushing brutalists Sanguisugabogg (Cody Davidson– drums; Drew Arnold- bass/guitars; Devin Swank– vocals; Ced Davis– bass/guitars) have a brand-new album, Hideous Aftermath out now via Century Media.

If you can pronounce their name or decipher their logo, you’re already a fan and embrace their previous efforts, including Tortured Whole (2021) and Homicidal Ecstasy (2023), and consider the new album a career-defining command over their ugly art. Says Swank, “It’s the one where we rolled our sleeves up and brought our A-Game.”

The band has toured nationally and internationally with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Lorna Shore, and Kublai Khan TX as well as festival slots and their own headline runs. “Eight or nine years ago, it seemed like what we were doing was pretty niche,” Swank admits. “Where we’ve come, some of the rooms and festivals we’ve played is kind of remarkable.”
