Weekend Gamer: Nuka Cola Quantum
With the Fallout Anniversary Edition, set for today (November 10, 2025), and Season 2 of the Fallout Television Show in December, we’re seeing a wave of new Fallout merchandises in stores now.
As the resident fan and Weekend Gamer, I had already spent a lot of money acquiring the Fallout T-60 Elite Edition (and swearing off on spending that much cash on an action figure)… and looking to add a few more McFarlane figures to my collection. I think I’m only going to stick to the Power Armors, and ignoring all the other characters in the line.
Anyway, I recently picked up this full-sized 8-inch Blue LED Quantum Bottle, an official licensed product from Toynk. I previously owned a Think Geek one, that was only battery-operated, so I gutted it and put in my own LED light strips and used it as a USB-powered bottle in my old Fallout Computer. I’m happy to report that this new Toynk version have both the option of using batteries or USB-C. This is very nice, especially if you don’t want the unsightly wires… but for those who want the blue light on all the time, using the provided USB-C cable to plug into a power source is a very nice. It is how I’m displaying the bottle.
Note: By default, it is set to a 15-min power-off timer. This is really meant for battery users, to conserve battery power. You don’t have to worry about the heat the light may generate, since looks very low-power. The blue light is not quite as bright as I would personally like… and there is no brightness adjustment.
My two complaints about the product are that there’s no light adjustment and it seemed expensive at $30 for a very poor USB-C lamp. Let’s face, you’re not going to be using this as a lamp. Still, for the die-hard Fallout fan, this would make a wonderful Christmas gift – especially because it is a full-size bottle. I’ve seen those “mini light”, which looks more like toys and not a real prop. Speaking of which, since it can be used with batteries, you can use this as a prop in your Fallout cosplay, along with your Plasma rifle and wearable Pip-Boy.
Yours,
