Just a reminder that the annual Milwaukee Metal Fest is once again taking place at The Rave/Eagles Club, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 5-7, 2026… with a special Pre-Party that took place last night (June 4), for the truly metal diehards. Big headliners for each day are listed as: Acid Bath, Killswitch Engage, and Ministry. There are more to be announced/unveiled later.
We covered Milwaukee Metal Fest last year and noted, “GWAR, celebrating their 40th Anniversary, ended the festival as GWAR does, with a not to be missed show that soaked the crowd with green slime and awesomeness. Happily, watched as puppets that may or may not have been Putin, Taylor Swift and the POTUS get gutted, all in good fun. So many that I’ve talked to as well I now have a personal declaration of vowing to be at every show from this point forward if I should hear it, so to speak.”.

Having returned in 2025 after some lost years, 2026 looks to be another good year. Happening Sunday, June 7th from 8am-6pm, they pack a lot in on six stages along Grand Avenue in Saint Paul. With Gully Boys, Thomas Stitcha, Haley E. Rydell, and many others, there will be something that works for you. Dave hit part of last year’s festivities.

American singer/songwriter (and painter) Joseph Arthur is headlining the Cedar Cultural Center on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Come to the show to experience three decades of music, as well as plenty of storytelling and hear about his approach to painting and music.
Abe Partridge to open. We saw Abe Patridge in Feb 2024 and described him as: “Alabama’s musician and podcaster Abe Partridge. If you like lyrics (and funny and clever lines), you’ll like Partridge, who comes off as American funnyman, who happens to play music with his steel guitarist. He was really grateful for the opportunity to open for Sweet, because he said he hadn’t been to many of these venues on this tour. My favorite song on his set was “Abe Partridge’s 403d Freakout”, which has a long breakdown about what if Albert Einstein had switch places with John Lennon. In this timeline, Einstein would marry a girl from Hiroshima, while Lennon would work on developing the atomic bomb.”
If your band is coming to the Minneapolis/St Paul area, please email details to vu@weheartmusic.com with a good lead time. Thank you.
