Visible
Visible Service LLC, doing business as Visible by Verizon, (stylized as v˙s˙ble), is an American all-digital prepaid mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and brand wholly-owned by Verizon. Launched in 2018, the carrier offers services on the Verizon network, with all services delivered via e-commerce and mobile apps using generative artificial intelligence, and no brick and mortar retail presence.
Ladies and gentlemen, I finally have Visible Home Internet. I have been asking for something like this for a year now, coming from a happy Visible mobile user since May 2021.
As I have previously mentioned, I didn’t have internet when I first moved to Jacksonville, and have been living off my phone’s internet (via hotspot) for about a year now. There are many downsides in doing this way… the only upside is that you save a little money.
There are some major key features in Visible’s 5G Home Internet service that I am excited about and I’ll outline them below:
Price
It’s hands down one, if not, the cheapest for internet. The monthly price is $30, but you can get it to $25 if you pre-pay for one year in advance. Sometime if you don’t know the service and how it will handle, you might be hesitant to go all-in for a full year.
Even I, who knows Visible through my many years being their mobile customer, thought it was safer to just do monthly.
Plus, Visible throws in the hardware for free – meaning there is absolutely no risk to the customer.
Speed
For the price you are paying ($1 a day) and to get on average about 150 to 180mbps download (with 12mbps upload), I feel this is very good value. Remember, if you are using Visible Mobile Hotspot, they limit your internet connection to 5 Mbps … so having over 100 times faster is very noticeable.
Visible Home Internet is slower than some of their premium competitors (but note: you are also paying a lot more money to the competitors), but it’s as fast, if not faster than other budget internet providers. From my personal experience, it’s twice as fast (and cheaper) than Straight Talk Home Internet.
I can also confirm that if you have a mesh network, just plug Visible into the network, and that’s all you need to do to provide internet for the entire mesh network. Currently, my mesh network tells me I have 22 connected items (security cameras, digital photo frames, etc.) and the average speed fluctuate as low as 14 to as high as 264mpbs.
Uptime
I have only used Visible Home Internet for a month, and I think it’s 99% reliable. Visible just say it’s “a fast and stable connection for multiple devices”.
With Home Internet (from my other experiences), once in a while you will need to unplug and replug in the gateway to reset the network… but I feel that’s just how things are. Most of the time you’re going to be online.
No Support
This isn’t a positive for Visible. They have no tech support, so you need to be comfortable troubleshooting things on your own. However, from my own experience, I had absolutely zero problems just self-activating the device and plugging it into my local network using an ethernet cable.
On a difficult level, I would say setting and activating Visible Home Network is very, very easy. Visible laid out step-by-step installation guide on their website and quick-start guide. If you can follow directions, you won’t have any issues. If you can’t activate the modem, I don’t think anyone, including Visible can help you.
If you need to connect to the gateway’s built-in WiFi or access the gateway, the information and password is printed at the bottom of the router. I recommend taking a photograph of it, so if you need to provide the password, just reference the photo. Or jot down the password in a text file or write it down on a memo pad.
Summary
I’m just happy to have reliable, fast internet at home. Previously, my phone was working overtime (running hot) providing internet for my PC. All my internet-of-things devices are happily working correctly now. YouTube videos are running great with no stutters. Some videos look clear and in HD, so that’s always appreciated. I can manage my network if I’m away from my home (since the internet is always connected).
For my heavy reliance on the internet, and based on the cheap price with no risk to me, I think Visible Home Internet is a winner to me. You may have a bad experience with them, and I recognize that is a problem with some people… but it seems to be working for me, and I am personally saying that I have had great experience with saving money using these two Visible products: Mobile and Home Internet. As long as the service are reliable, I’ll continue to stay on a loyal customer and will continue to recommend them to strangers and family. You know if the service is crap, I’ll be the first in line to tell you all about it.
Home Internet Update (June 2, 2026)
Now that I’ve used Visible Home Internet for a month now, I can update on my usage. From what I’ve experienced, Visible does slow down the internet from their typically 200Mbps advertised speed. Sometime it’s unbearable, when nothing is loading or takes minutes to download a small image file… but eventually speed will go back to normal when congestion is cleared.

On my network, I have about 20 clients connected, everything from Smart Frames to Security Cameras, so when the network goes down, everything goes dark. It’s important that I have no blackout – so it does suck that Visible, once in a while, will go down briefly. When this does happen, you just need to pull the power plug and wait a few seconds and then re-plug back the power and you should be good to go. I’m not sure why this happens, I think sometimes the modem self-update itself and that may cause the disconnection.

Besides from the slow-downs and the random disconnections, things have been working as expected. The always-online thing is pretty swell. Previously, I was using my phone’s hotspot to power, so having my Jellyfin always online is pretty awesome. Plus, I don’t care of a game requires online check-in or massive game update… things are just different now.
I’m also streaming more content (at better resolution) more than ever, so it’s been a ‘game-changer’ as the saying goes.
In the month that I’ve used Visible Home Internet, it delivers on its promise and advertisement. I’ve absolutely zero complaints, so far.
