Musicians against I.C.E.
Musicians against I.C.E. is a series from WHM. With the recent ICE murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti, it had united and inspired musicians across the glob to stand against the brutality of Donald Trump’s I.C.E.
Chastity Brown
Minnesota-based singer/songwriter Chastity Brown released “Year of Twenty-Six,” a song that was written days after the murder of Renee Good – which was only a few blocks from Brown’s Minneapolis home. Proceeds from the song will be going to Minnesota-based organizations that are providing funds for Minnesotans affected by the actions of ICE in their communities.
Chastity reflects:
“The Year of Twenty-six” is a love song eulogy. It’s also a marker in time that is forged into our hearts, our memories – we the people of Minneapolis. Creating this was deeply humbling. The piano keys were a blur from weeping so hard. This is for Renée’s, Alex’s, and all the families…

This was the most humbling experience I’ve ever had writing a song and sharing it because I knew that in order to write it, I had to allow my heart to feel the reality of the subject and the devastation. As a Minneapolis resident who also jumped into action to protect my neighbors and a queer woman, this death felt very personal because it could have happened to me.

May 15 Joshua Tree Music Festival 2026, Joshua Tree, CA

All Good Things by me. (July 24, 2026)
ME.
New duo ME. (featuring Mark O’Connell and Eddie Reyes) will be releasing their debut album All Good Things in late July. M&E are from iconic emo band Taking Back Sunday.
After nearly a decade of misunderstanding, Eddie & Mark re-established their friendship and are working together under the ME. (note period) project. Apparently when Eddie left Taking Back Sunday, in 2018 under difficult circumstances, both Mark and Eddie had been kept in the dark and had no idea what the truth was.
Anyway, the new project is not a “band,” meaning there is no frontman and no hierarchy. The songs they’ve collaborated on will feature different vocalists.
Track listing:
  1. An Introduction
  2. Bloodsport
  3. Grown Man
  4. Special
  5. Violent People
  6. Nuzzo
  7. Big Smiles
  8. Sun Poison
  9. Soap Bar
  10. The Astronaut Show
  11. This Is What It Feels Like To Be Normal

Were The Watchtowers
by Dallas Good and Richard Reed Parry (June 26, 2026)
Dallas Good and Richard Reed Parry
Were The Watchtowers is post-humorous collaboration from Dallas Good (The Sadies) and Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire). The album is Good’s final recorded work, completed before his unexpected passing in February 2022. Originally available as a Record Store Day First Exclusive, it will be finally be widely available this June 26 via Yep Roc Records.
Talking about the recording, Richard Reed Parry said:
Dallas and I usually wrote slowly. Echo the Part was written quickly, early on in our collaboration. We tried to write a song that sounded like something the Everly Brothers might’ve sung (which was what we often tried to do, and as usual, it didn’t really turn out sounding that way). The main lyric is about wanting the good things in life to stick around, and repeat themselves, and keep echoing over time.

Dallas died before we had completed our album and there were two songs that we still hadn’t written lyrics for. One of them is the final song he ever worked on, called “Not in This World.” That title, which is also the main refrain in the song, is extra poignant now that he’s gone, almost eerily so. Finishing the lyrics and the record without him has been a strange and very emotional journey. Thankfully, Dallas’ brother Travis came and sang harmony in his place. To anyone who knew Dallas, or was a fan of his music, I’d like to ask your help in finishing this, the last song he ever wrote. We are going to sing it for him, and sing it to him, and wherever Dallas is now I think he’d be really pleased to hear so many of his friends, family and fans singing together in his honour.
