Happy holidays! It's also Sally's birthdate week, as she was kind enough to stop in to preview Splendour in the Grass, which takes place this July 29th to 31st. Doors at 9am, music starts at 11 and ends after midnight.
SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS - the annual, ephemeral city of sounds that exists solely for sweet music and good times will transform Woodfordia, near Woodford, south east Queensland from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 July.
“I keep singing in and out of tune...” whines Russo, a quirky, yet gentle refrain set against a humble backdrop of piano and finger picked guitar. An odd lyric for an album opener? Thankfully Common Prayer are odd enough to back it up.
British Sea Power are quite famous, so I won't spend too much time talking about them. They played here in Minneapolis yesterday (March 21st) at the Triple Rock Social Club.
