The Wombats – Backfire @ The Disco
I seem to stumble across a lot of Liverpool bands at the moment with The Wombats being one of them.
This is their 3rd single which is going to be released in April on vinyl only, I believe. Since they do not have a record deal in the UK, they are doing it themselves.
They also have one album out called Girls, Boys & Marsupials – but only in Japan of all places.
This is a charming little tune, me thinks!

my roommate loves these guys.that’s interesting that they are releasing it on vinyl only – way cool. for some reason i’ve always thought the wombats are from australia (since the animal is indigenous to the area)useless trivia: wombats are not mammals (they’re marsupials). and they are ugly!
