I've previously written about these guys before, I said they were real-life North Carolina brothers, Scott & Seth Avett.

EIGHT BELLS

Not to be confused with School of Seven Bells, this Eight Bells band is from Portland and they are said to deliver "atmospheric sound". Their forthcoming full-length The Captain's Daughter is set for release in two weeks, February 19th, via Seventh Rule Recordings.

An early review from Steel for Brains of the album stated that "Eight Bells seem intent on giving the listener a broad canvas of sound to work with without seeming grandiose or tedious, and with The Captain’s Daughter they succeed on every level of that presumed intention."

SLICE 9

Slice 9 (Sean James) is Atlanta's latest rap sensation. The young star recently commented on the state of the rap scene, "Everybody [in Atlanta] is ambitious. At the same time, everybody is competitive. When you want it, you really have to go get it."

Slice 9 signed a record deal with Future's Freebandz (distributed by Epic Records) after his song "Another One" was a big hit on Atlanta radio stations.

Billboard Magazine marked "Another One" as a hot "bubbling" song. They mentioned that the song debut at #40 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop, which is not bad for a relatively unknown artist.

Look for Slice 9's upcoming album, Established Forever sometime this year (2013).
