Shout Out Louds

Finally, the Shout Out Louds came on stage. I can’t fault the band for this, but there were a few annoying fans ones singing out loud, or should I say “shout out loud” the lyrics to their favorite songs……

Swedish color and light: Shout Out Louds tour in support of ‘Optica’

Stockholm-based Shout Out Louds produced themselves for the first time (assisted by Johannes Berglund) on their fifth and latest release, ‘Optica’ (Merge Records), and begin touring this May (including a 5/17 date in Minneapolis) in support of the disc. Formed over ten years ago by friends Adam Olenius (vocals), Ted Malmros (bass), and Carl von Arbin (guitars) with Eric Edman (drums) and Bebban Stenborg (keys) joining shortly thereafter, their high energy, melodic pop has already found an audience worldwide.

Their latest effort tries to recapture the more relaxed spirit of their earlier recordings, taking almost a year and a half to create with each band member responsible for coming up with their own song parts, and is embellished with strings, trumpets and flutes. How that all will translate live, is curious enough to want to go and find out for yourself.
